Most people hold the misconception faeries are perky little bundles of energy with delightful personalities, much like that of Tinkerbell, gaily sprinkling fairy dust and trilling out melodious songs as they flutter about unseen. The truth of the matter is, faeries, like most things in life, come packaged in cloaks of goodness, evilness, helpfulness or deviousness. Another unknown fact, to the human species, is the relentless war between faeries and guardian angels. The elders of either group have, as of yet, been unable to find evidence of written recording as to why such a feud exists but they uphold the unwritten law. Joel, however, was aware of the existence of faeries, hopeful they would be able to help him, despite their fickle natures.
What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week I will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.
This week: FAERIES
*This might be a part of Joel’s story at some time. I haven’t really made up my mind but when I saw the FSF word: Faeries, his story is what came to mind.*
